Seniors
Seniors built this great province, and continue to serve our community today as volunteers and caregivers, as sources of wisdom, comfort and support. We have a responsibility to ensure that they have income security, affordable housing, quality health care services, opportunities for lifelong learning and self-development, and access to the support they need at every stage of their lives.

Deron and Alberta's NDP have a plan for seniors that includes:
- Better long-term care. We need to stop converting long-term care facilities into assisted living facilities; this reduces the quality and availability of long-term care spaces and increases fees. We need to enforce province-wide standards for care, increase facility inspections and ensure long-term care residents have a voice in their living conditions.
- Making life more affordable. That includes a $25/month cap on the total cost of prescription drugs, an education property tax break for seniors who still own their own home, and strict controls on rent increases.
- An independent Seniors Advocate to ensure seniors get access to the public services that they need, as suggested by Public Interest Alberta.
Vote for a young, energetic candidate who will fight to improve the quality of life for seniors. Vote For Deron Bilous and Alberta's NDP!
